When you visit our student operated businesses, you are doing more than playing mini-golf or ice skating. You are investing in our community and building up the future workforce! Bridges desires to make disciples that make disciples and we do that through after-school programs, mentoring, housing and employment. Specifically, your support at KLL & FS helps give a Bridges student job skills and workforce experience. Our wrap-around employment services include: interviewing skills, building resumes, budgeting, customer service, critical thinking and problem solving. All while serving Christ and working with all our heart (Col 3:23).

Bridges desires to increase employment opportunities in Howard County.  More than that, Bridges wants to provide our students with a professional first-time work experience that will encourage them to become productive assets in our workforce community.  The Frozen Sandlot & Kokomo Little Links has employed over 100 staff (mostly high school and college students) along with numerous interns each year to prepare students for the current workforce.  There are multiple ways of how this will impact our community:

  • Bridges will employ students and prepare them for the workforce (interviewing skills, resumes, performance evaluations, customer service, manual labor and communication skills).  We manage our students with a mission to train, educate and develop our staff for the future.

  • Thiese amenities are a family-friendly, positive activity in our community.  This will be diverse, inclusive and available to our entire community as a positive place to go and be active.  Mini-golf and ice skating will keep families in our community and invite others from outside our County to connect, host parties, be physically active and add value to our local community.

  • Both endeavors will help sustain Bridges and our other programs for decades to come.  All profits made will be put back into our community through Bridges programs.  This is an economic investment that beautifies the city of Kokomo, adds to the quality of life in North Central Indiana and provides sustainability for Bridges and the youth we serve.
